Felder Group
The Felder Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of technology and machinery for wood processing and composite materials. At our plant in Hall in Tirol, over 800 employees work every day to find intelligent solutions for woodworking professionals around the world. The Felder Group's model range includes well over 180 machines, from traditional combined woodworking machines to 5-axis machining centers, as well as intelligent software and fully robotized solutions. The Felder Group story : In 1956, KR Johann Felder and his wife Gertraud founded Johann Felder jun. in their workshop at the family home in Absam (Tyrol). Within the first year, he presented the first Felder woodworking machines at trade fairs in Vienna and Innsbruck. In the early sixties, steady growth forced the company to move for the first time. Salzbergstraße 26 became the machine builder's new home. The first exports soon followed, with series production of the legendary BU 4 combination machine illustrating the company's meteoric market breakthrough. Thanks to the success of the BU 5-8 series and the imposing Felder HAT combination machine, Felder makes its mark on the German market. The company's immense success required constant expansion, which was not possible at the Absam site. So, in 1982, the company and its 65 employees moved again, to Hall in Tirol (Austria), its current site.
