Ces équipements disposent d'un brûleur à gaz qui génère une flamme interne, chauffant ainsi une petite chambre de combustion. L'air, entraîné par le ventilateur, traverse cette chambre, fournissant de l'air chaud pour augmenter la température de la pièce à chauffer.
